We’re posting from the road for the next few weeks as we twist and turn our way through Italy”s back roads looking for new farmers and thoughtful vintners. Posts may be brief and picture heavy but we will try to show you some of the cool stuff we are tasting.

Flew into Rome on Monday night and drove a few hours into the hills of Abbruzzo to meet with¬†Agricola Cirelli, eat some homemade goose stuffed ravioli and pass out. Up early Monday to taste Cirelli”s entire line-up from cement, old wood and clay anfora (very interesting). We also tasted through a line-up including many other like minded vintners who have formed a group called the “Unione Vignaioli Authentico” and seem to be doing some excellent things.
